I'm Hosting this coming weekend at The Flappers Comedy Club in Claremont AND I'm Headlining my FIRST weekend in Fresno on Aug 5th (Press Box), 7th (Thai Palms), and 8th (Thai Palms). That will be the final weekend I record for iTunes, SO MAKE SURE TO BE THERE...IT WILL SELL OUT! My 45min set will be available sometime in September...I'll keep you updated.
Thanks for all the support so far!

Oh, and um...I didn't see Eva for a second time (I call her Eva, because we already made eye contact once, so I'm allowed to).  I just realized that blog I wrote when I did see her got the most views, so this was a test...and if you're still ready you all failed (unless you come to one of my shows soon...then A's for everyone!!!!).

Had a fun show two nights ago with Rick Martinez at The Jon Lovitz Club in Universal City Walk. Just want to thank everyone who came out...especially the two Asian girls in front and the gentleman with the mullet to my right. I called him out for having a mullet, and then he proceeded to turn around as if he thought there were people behind him with mullets also....the Asian chicks just looked good.

Thanks again for all those who came out...it was a great night, and the support I got was amazing...I truly appreciated it.

If you're still reading...go to facebook and add my fan page so you can see my updates, show schedule, get on some of my guest lists to check me out for free, look at my silly pictures, etc. Just type in Samuel J Comroe and add it...thanks!

Anyone Want Juice?

Last night was a lot of fun! I got to perform at The Double Tree Hotel with Joey Medina in front of a great crowd. I closed the show, and right after they told the comics to stick around for a bit. We were taken to a back room (I know this sounds like its getting dirty...it isn't...but I still have to write the rest of it, so I could just make something more interesting up, like "they took our clothes and made us perform naked...every laugh we got the gave us an article of clothing back, but every time we made an Obama joke they took another piece") and instead of getting cash for the show, we got to choose one of their items from Bed, Bath, and Beyond (all of my blogs are now officially sponsored by them). I ended up getting paid in a Juicer last night...as in "does anyone want apple juice? Cool...because I just so happen to have a Juicer on hand now." The best part about it was after I chose my gift, I had to walk out of the hotel lobby as if I'm the cheap ass comedian that goes on stage to perform...runs to the back and steals a Juicer.

Overall...I had a blast, and the gift was very generous! Big shout-out to Daniel Garcia for putting on an incredible benefit show, and being such a kind person.

Come check me out THIS MONDAY at The Laugh Factory LATINO NIGHT at 8pm. I can get you on my FREE Guest List if you contact me (samuelcomroe@yahoo.com) BEFORE MONDAY AT 2pm! It's gonna be a killer show...BE TTTHHHUURRRRR!

Laugh Factory Latino Night

I got invited to perform at The World Famous Laugh Factory (Latino Night = EVERY MONDAY AT 8PM)). I was the first one to go up and got a laugh before I even hit the stage just for being white...thanks Mom, Dad, and racism! An Oakland Raiders joke and a silly Horchata reference later, and I was instantly "the silliest piece of white ass" they've ever seen (and when I say "they" I mean older lady in row three who is probably related to "old ballz" guy from my last blog).
Thanks to Joey Medina (Latin Kings of Comedy and HBO) for giving me the opportunity! We'll be performing together again this summer at the Laugh Factory, Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, and NEW Flappers Comedy Club in Claremont & Burbank...keep checking out my Tour Dates to see when we schedule it.

THE LAST FEW MONTHS = SUCCESS

Posted by: samueljcomroe in Shows

Tagged in: Untagged

In the last few months I've won The Ultimate Laff Down Competition in Orange County (out of 100 comics), won The 1st Annual Central Valley Comedy Competition in Fresno (out of 60 comics), moved on to the second round of The Spotlight Comedy Competition (the second round is in October, 2010), gotten a showcase at The World Famous Laugh Factory in Hollywood (I'll post the date of the showcase when I get it emailed to me...hope all of you can make it), Headlined a few shows, Hosted a show at The Fox Theater in Pomona (1400 Seater) for Headliner Rick Martinez, and I just found out that within the next couple months I'll have my 30-45min comedy routine available on itunes!!!!!
I appreciate everything that everyone has done for me...all of the support, advice, help, etc. This is just the beginning and I owe so much of my success to you guys! So, thank you!

Sorry there hasn't been a blog in a while, but I'll be consistently updating my website from here on out...thanks again.

On a side note...some creepy old guy came up to me after my last show and said "you're only 22 huh? My balls are older than you kid." Couldn't he have just said that he was older than me? Why is he 67 and his balls are only 31?

TSA FUNDRAISER!

Posted by: samueljcomroe in Shows

Tagged in: Untagged

Our fundraiser at the Ice House Annex April 13th, 2010 WAS A SUCCESS! We were able to raise $720, and probably get about 6 or 7 more kids who couldn't afford it, to go to the TSA's (SoCal Chapter) first ever Youth Summer Camp! This camp is going to allow them to be in a really supportive environment, and meet other people with Tourette Syndrome. It's something I never got to do, and is most likely the reason I'm a comedian. These kids get an opportunity to meet others like themselves and really do something with their lives (lol...I joke, I joke). It was a great event and I had a lot of fun in the process. I just want to thank Barbara Holliday, Dave Reinitz, and Bob Courdy for putting the entire event together. I want to thank Joel Bryant for doing an amazing job hosting the evening, and Michael Rayner, Diane Kaowasaki, and Bobbie Oliver for putting on a hilarious show! Finally, thank you everyone who showed up and donated a lot of money for the cause. We only had about 40-50 people there, and they were one of the best/most generous audiences I've had the pleasure of performing in front of. It truly meant a lot to have everyone there, and I can't thank you enough!

I'll be performing THIS SATURDAY (April 17th) at 1:30pm at Cal State Northridge (CSUN) for Relay for Life with my friend, and one of the best comics out there...Tony Baker! Make sure you come out...support...donate...and enjoy some silliezzzz!

Thank You March!

The last two weeks in stand-up comedy have been supah fun!

Sunday, March 21st I got to open for the hilarious Brad Williams at the Ice House in Pasadena! He did so well that he's going to get to Headline a full weekend there sometime in the near future...CONGRATS!
Thursday, March 25th I opened up for Dante from Last Comic Standing (did a 40min set) when we drove down to San Diego to perform for the troops. I had a blast! They treated us really well, and after the show we got to hangout, take pictures, and sign autographs. I was extremely honored to be able to perform for them, and can't wait to do it again!

Friday, March 26th I got to do a guest spot at The Downtown LA Comedy Club. It was my first time performing there, and it was a really fun experience. Everyone is super supportive and it actually feels like you're working on your craft. I had a great set and got to meet the incredible Garrett Morris and Lea Routledge! They enjoyed my performance so much that they came to support me at the Jon Lovitz Club this past Sunday. I admire both of them like THIS much (I'm spreading my arms really wide right now), and truly appreciated the fact that they would spend their Sunday evening supporting my stand-up.

Sunday, March 28th I co-produced/performed at The Jon Lovitz Club with some amazing comedians. We put on such a great show that they asked us back (I'll post the date soon!). I've realized that I always get a different reaction when I initially say that I have Tourette Syndrome. I said it two weeks ago and some girl screamed out "NO YOU DON'T!" I was like "Yea...you're right...like for the last 22 years of my life a ghost has just been punching my face!" This time I said I had TS and a girl in the front row screamed out "AWESOME." Last night I said I had TS and some girl shouted "WE KNOW!" I think it's the same girl coming to every show. At first she didn't believe it...then she loved it...and now she's upset with it.
Looking forward to what April has in store for me! Thanks for all of the support so far everyone, hope to see ya soon!

Happy Birthday To...ME...?

Posted by: samueljcomroe in Shows

I turned 22 years old last week (03/18/10). The day started off with me running outside because I forgot there was street cleaning. Street cleaning is such crap! I've NEVER gone outside after they're done and been like "wow...ya know...the street looks a lot cleaner than it did before...oh wait...a car just hit a squirrel...oh yea...ITS A STREET!" Next, I had to go to the DMV and after 4hrs of waiting I finally got to the front desk. The lady realized it was my bday and asked in an angry voice "you want us to sing for you?" and in my head I said "no...no I don't want 100 people at the DMV who hate their lives to ruin what's supposed to be one of the happiest songs in the world." Plus, you know it would be interrupted..."Happy Birthday tooooo SaaAAAaaaAAAmmmMMM....C-134 Window 11...Happy Birthdaayyy toooo yyyoo----C-134 WINDOW 11! COME ON WE DON'T HAVE ALL DAY, SHIT!" It wasn't a horrible birthday though...there are always just so many expectations that it seems like it never lives up to it. I did get some really nice gifts, dinner with friends and family, and a million bday wishes...so thank you everyone! I truly appreciate all the love and support!

I'm just glad it wasn't like last years bday. I turned 21 and instead of taking me out to get drunk, my friends thought it was an awesome idea to make a puzzle all night. I sat there the entire evening eating a snickers bar and drinking a glass full of tears, trying to find the edges...I guess the DMV was an upgrade.

Opened for Dante From Last Comic Standing

Had a great show Saturday night at The Jon Lovitz Comedy Club! I woke up Saturday thinking I was going to do an 8min guest spot, and two hours before the show Dante let me know I'd be hosting. It was a blast! It was such a big crowd they had to start putting people on the third level. All of the comics on the line-up were outstanding (big shout-out to Devin Clark, Rebekah Kochan, Tony Baker, Dante, and the rest of the comedians for putting on one hell of a show).
My favorite part was after the show a group of people came up and asked me if I really had Tourette Syndrome, and then a drunk girl ran up and shouted "YES! HE DOES HAVE IT! Look at the way his face moves..." and then studied me for 2-3min.
